Borouge 3 Project is an expansion of Borouge’s polyolefins complex in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, to be fully onstream in mid-2014.

Borouge is a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies, and Borealis, a leading international producer of chemical and plastics solutions.

Two out of the three packages for the Borouge 3 Project have been awarded to the Joint Venture formed between Tecnimont S.p.A. (55%), and Samsung Engineering Co. Ltd (45%). The two EPC Lump Sum turnkey contracts cover the multiple polyolefin units Package (‘PO’, which includes two LL/HD-PE Units and two PP Units) and the low density polyethylene Package (‘LDPE’).

The Scarlet team visited the worksite at Ruwais, western region, Abu Dhabi to contact safety in the heat and TWL training. During the session, Scarlet has shown the safety in the heat Abu Dhabi EHSMS Code of Practice and how to use TWL heat stress index to help prevent workers from heat stress.
